I am Curious about Former Soviet Baltic Republics
It is really a stone`s throw from Malmi to Tallinn. We get over Finnish gulf and approximate Tallin airport in 45 minutes, and that with taking pictures of the cities. The airport in Tallin is very near the centre of the city. The bus drive to the broadway takes less than 20 minutes. There is no small airport for sport aircrafts, so we have to land at the large one. [16.08.2006] [ Estonia ] We get full service at the airport, they made me willingly copies of the local AIP during our briefing. Paying the fees, I am surprised and pleased - I pay 24 Euro in conversion for landing and parking. It is a very good price for a capital airport. I paid 50 Euro for landing and parking in Malmi, and Malmi is a small GA airport. Only when we want to leave the airport, we have to stand up a considerable queue for passport check-in - we pass the same counter as the airliner passengers who have just arrived. The crew takes precedence though, but nobody would believe us, in our grimy T-shirts and shorts, that we are pilots. Back to list
